Georgie's Journey - part VI

NEW HORSES AND GREAT RESULTS!

Pontispool was a busy day with the 3 new horses, HALLTOWN HARLEY and BLUSTEREN were in the OI and COOLEY LEGALAND was in the Novice. HALLTOWN HARLEY scored 33.2 and jumped a very easy double clear adding just 2.8 time faults to finish 4th. BLUSTEREN was also super, it was my first event on him and a very tough intermediate course. He scored 33.0 and also went on to jump double clear. I just cantering him around the cross country quietly picking up 12.4 time faults but finished 9th. Next up was COOLEY LEGALAND in the Novice. He scored a fantastic dressage score of 25.8 and added another double clear with 4 time faults to finish in 2nd place. This was a fantastic result for his new owners who have just bought him off me for me to ride!!

We had 2 nice days at Gatcombe. The first on Friday with the OI horses, HALLTOWN HARLEY and BLUSTEREN.HALLTOWN HARLEY posted a dressage of 33.4 and I made the decision to withdraw him before the show jumping as he had only been to Pontispool and few days before and I didn't feel needed the run before Osberton CCI** next. BLUSTEREN however made the trip very worth while with a 33.4 and an easy double clear. Time faults pushed us out of the placings but overall I am very excited about this horse, as we have only had a few weeks together. The following day we were back with COOLEY LEGALAND and CALVIN. COOLEY LEGALAND posted another very impressive 25.8 and jumped a lovely double clear inside the time to finish in 4th place. CALVIN too impressed with a 29.0 dressage and he too jumped double clear inside the time to finish in 2nd place and give him a qualifying result for a NRF next year.

These 4 horses all now heading off to Osberton for the CCI** and Young Horse Championships.

I also have a gorgeous new boy! Meet San Solo aka Solo. He is a 7yo By a gelding by San Amour, he hasn't done a lot other than some low level dressage but he has a fantastic jump and has taken to cross country very well in a short space of time so looking forward to sharing with you our journey together!

This month is my last month eventing and we will have the main horses going to Osberton for their last event and then events Calmsden and Broadway with the young horses but I am looking forward to hopefully finishing the season on a continuing good note!

Till next time
Love
Georgie
