Who is Klarna?

Klarna is a Swedish company, who describe themselves as the ‘provider of smoooth payment services to more than 100,000 online stores’ (yes the extra 'o' is intentional – they certainly have experience with over 60million consumers worldwide having used them to pay securely.

How does it work?

With 'Pay Later in Three; you can speak the cost of your item over 3 equal instalments.  The first instalment is taken when your order is confirmed by us, payments two and three are scheduled 30 and 60 days later respectively.  Each payment is automatically taken from the debit or credit card you enter at checkout on our website when you place your order.  It really is that simple!

How do I apply?

This is not like a store card or a credit card, there is no application as such.  If you want to use Klarna you simply select process your order as normal but make sure you select ‘pay over time with Klarna’ from the payment screen.  From there you will be taken to a screen that lets you know the breakdown of your instalments; you then enter your credit / debit card details as normal.

How will I know when my payments are due?

All information will be sent to your email address, this includes payment reminders and links to your statements.

What happens if I need to return my order?

As soon as we have accepted your request for a cancellation/return,  we will inform Klarna and they will cancel any future scheduled payments as well as refund any amounts due back onto the credit / debit card you paid with.  Any refunds will be processed by Klarna within 5-7 working days from when they receive notification.

 What happens if I don’t pay?

Klarna will automatically attempt to collect your payment from the debit / credit card you provided.  If they are unable to take payment on the scheduled due date they will make one further attemept two days late.  If this payment fails Klarna will issue a statement for the full amount which will be payable 15 days later.  But missing a payment or paying late can affect your credit score.

Is everyone eligible?

You must be at least 18 to be eligible for Klarna and whilst pay later in 3 is widely promoted, it is subject to your financial circumstances. When choosing Pay later in 3 Klarna will run a soft search on you but this willl not affect your credit rating. Offers are based on a number of factors such as; order value, previous order history and item availability.  Each order is assessed individually so just because you may have been accepted or declined before, doesn’t automatically mean the result will be the same the next time you apply. Increase your chances of eligibility by ensuring all details you enter are correct.

What is the total price I will pay for my item?

There is no interest and no fees, so the price you pay will be the price you see on our website – just split across 3 payments.  To give you a breakdown, a pair of our Spanish Riding Boots Classic cost £345 so you would pay in 3 instalments of £115.  The Egality Freedom Sandhurst Jacket costs £475 so with Klarna pay later in 3, you would pay in 3 instalments of £158.33.

Is it safe?

To protect your payment details all payment information is processed securely by Klarna. No card details are held by us and all transactions take place via connections secured with the latest industry standard security protocols.  To protect your purchase Klarna’s Buyer Protection Policy provides customers with the assurance that you will receive the goods you purchased or you will get your money back, no matter how you pay or where you shop.
